As with many pre-drought developments in California this medium-density townhouse community was installed with virtually wall-to-wall turf. In our view large open areas of mowed turf do not represent the optimum use of space or resources. They have their proper use but generally are quite boring to look at and serve a limited purpose while consuming massive amounts of resources. Our plan divides the previously open central lawn into a community garden, play area with natural elements, outdoor kitchen and dinning area, and outdoor movie theater.
